dream.

April 7-13 Great Smoky Mountains National Park, NC Smokies Spring Workshop, Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.
If they had called this park “Wildflower National Park”, no one would have argued. The range and beauty of the early spring blooms, the streams, and spring’s new green are more than a week’s work by far. Les and I live here.

April 21 Great Smoky Mountains National Park One-Day Workshop, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
If you only have a single
spring day to spend in the Smokies, you won’t be able to fill it any more completely than with this day with Les and me. Call it a wildflower intensive.

April 26 - 29 Great Smoky Mountains National Park, NC Smokies Spring Long-Weekend Workshop, Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.
Three hearts come together in a single vision. Nancy, Les, and I will take you on a long-weekend adventure to some of the most beautiful wildflower and landscape photographic opportunities in the country. Come walk in beauty with us

June 23 Roan Mountain, NC/TN One-Day Workshop, Roan Mountain, North Carolina.
The Appalachian Trail splits the mountain and there’s a different state on either side, but the beauty of the Catawba rhododendron (Rhododendron catawbiense) in bloom is a single theme that connects everything on this day as Les
and I share this High Country jewel with you.

July 5 - 8

Lake Junaluska, NC Smokies Rosebay Workshop, Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.
In early July the rosebay
rhododendron (Rhododendron maximum) explodes in a fireworks display of coral hues. There are other summer blossoms, lots of wonderful landscapes, and sunrises/sunsets galore. Les and I will share all of the best locations with you. This is our package workshop that includes lodging and meals.

Haywood County , NC One-Day Workshop, Blue Ridge Summer, Western North Carolina.
The wildflowers of summer are a completely different experience. Les and I conceived the idea for this workshop last year while photographing along our end of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Fee: $75 Covers workshop and lunch.

September 14-16 Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN Smokies/Cades Cove Workshop, Townsend, Tennessee.
The late summer wildflowers and early autumn morning atmospherics make this the ideal time to be in the cove. Dew-covered webs, bucks and does, dreamy fog, all co-exist in a blaze of light. Les and I will show you what makes it special.

September 29– October 5

Hancock and Munising, MI The Awesome Upper Peninsula Workshop, Hancock & Munising, Michigan.
I’ve almost convinced Nancy and Les that the Upper Peninsula has no peer when it comes to fall color. Now I’ve got to demonstrate it; but I’m not worried. This place is almost like home to me.

October 21 - 27

Lake Junaluska, NC Smokies/Blue Ridge Parkway Fall Workshop, Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.
This is one workshop not to be missed. For Les and me it’s like spending a week in the most wonderful backyard
