Weekend Workshops offer a balance between a shorter one-day outing and a full-week experience. They combine presentations on creative and/or technical topics with shooting in the field and an image critique session. It’s the best of both workshop worlds in a package that provides time and budgetary flexibility.

Weekend Workshops typically begin on Friday evening with an introductory session of wine and hors d’oeuvres and an opening instructional/inspirational program. Saturday includes fieldwork, additional instructional programs, and processing time. There is also a field picnic and a shared dinner. On Sunday the weekend concludes with an inspirational program and a critique of participants’ images. It’s an intense, but fun-filled time that is designed to take you further on the path of your photographic journey.

Extended-Weekend Workshops begin on Thursday evening with an introductory session just like the one described above. On Friday, there is a combination of fieldwork and an initial critique. Saturdays are devoted to a full day of fieldwork, and Sundays are given to a final critique, and inspirational program, and a wrap-up session. Extended Weekends are the answer to many participants who requested a format shorter than a full-week workshop, but with more time to spend in the field and an additional opportunity for an image critique.
