New 2018 Adventures

South Carolina State Parks

I am very pleased to announce that in 2018 we will be offering a pair of workshop experiences in conjunction with the South Carolina Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department. The first of these is March 8-11 at Table Rock State Park; and the second is March 12-15 at Devil's Fork State Park. Both of these beautiful treasures are located in the South Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains and are situated on, or very near to, South Carolina Highway 11, the Cherokee Foothills Parkway.

In both locations we'll be lodged in the comfortable cabins maintained by the respective parks with instant access to the beauty that each facility has to offer. All lodging and registration inquiries should be directed to South Carolina Parks and Recreation Photography Program for both Parks. In the "Programs" page, select the Park by scrolling down the Park tab to either Devils Fork or Table Rock; and insert the date range, 3/1/2018 - 3/16/2018, in the date tab. Of course, for any photography or gear questions, you can contact me directly at (828) 788-0687 or Don McGowan.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Also in 2018, we'll be leading four (4) new Road Scholar programs under the auspices of the Intentional Growth Center at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. The programs are entitled The Great Smoky Mountains Through the Photographer's Lens. The dates for these adventures are April 15-20; May 13-18; September 9-13; and October 7-12, 2018. Bonnie will be my photography assistant and Wilma Durpo will be our naturalist and my co-instructor. Wilma is a wonderfully knowledgeable leader of naturalist programs throughout the Smokies. Information and registration information for these adventures can be found on the Road Scholar website, Road Scholar Photography Workshop. And, as always, for any photography or gear questions, you can contact me directly at (828) 788-0687 or Don McGowan.
